Albuquerque, N.M., is known as the "Hot Air Balloon Capital of the World" and for good reason. Nearly every morning balloons can be seen flying across the mountainous skyline, and every Fall the city hosts the International Balloon Fiesta, a world-renowned event attracting ballooning experts and enthusiasts from around the globe.
For my five-year wedding anniversary, I surprised my wife with a hot air balloon ride over the city. It was sweet. It was romantic. It was authentic, and it was a blast.
